I cant imagine no governor on the car. It must be amazing to drive that fast. I won't ever find out mind you...I could never go that fast with my guilty conscience. I am getting the tune for the bursts of power, not the driving insanely fast part lol.

I don't see why you expect driving faster than 250 kph is insanely fast. You should not do it when you have no experience or the traffic does not allow to drive at that or higher speed. In a good environment driving fast is pretty safe with a good car, as well as good breaks and tires. The 335i is a good car and can do this.

I would say this car would be in the 170 range when you delete the 155 speed restriction.

Take care. You need "Y" or "Z" rated tires. Check your tire pressure and breaks in advance. If you get any doubts while driving, slow down.

Don't know. My runflats are stored somewhere, I don't use RFT's.

140-150... while stable on good roads... one little twitch and its GAME OVER. one little pothole and problems.

Even with the superior handling/suspension i cant see anything over this without upgrades.

no way in hell will i max out after the upgrade.

its all about 0-60 for me baby (really 0-100) !

Thank you, good advice. This exercise will definitely NOT be done on public roads. I am currently researching a safe environment where this could be accomplished.

Talking Few if any places in the US where the road is safe enough to do this.

The random pothole, the stupid road camble engineered for 65 mph max, the blind and not so gentle curve and the insanely incompetent drivers. Worst of all the ridiculously stupid cop on the side of the road who clocks you coming and shoots(forget about merging. He's a cop and his are ON! Damn it!) into the road so he can stop some driver ahead of you, or wosr still STOP YOU They all would spell immediate and complete disaster at those speeds. Go some closed road course, don't try this on public roads guys, too many variables not in your control.

The stock Bridgestone Re050a's on the 335 sport package are "Z" rated, and also have a W speed rating, so good to 168mph (270kph). Z just means they are good for over 149 mph, the W(168mph) or Y(186mph) that might show up after the Z rating give a better description of their tested speed allowance.

My buddy had his Dinan ECU/Exhaust 335 on stock RFTs to an indicated 158 MPH. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125065

I think I recall someone posting a picture of a GPS unit indicating 175.x MPH in a Dinan tuned 335.

Watch out for the potholes

You hit one pothole at 150+ mph and you're dead! America is the worst place to have a nice car. Even Korea has better roads than the U.S. I was stated there and I couldn't find a single pothole on paved roadways. If you ever seen the Autobahn in person, you'll see that the road material is different from the U.S. highways. Hitler had the Autobahn designed to sustain tracked vehicles such as an heavy armored tank that weights 35-tons. The lanes are also wider. Just be careful and let me know what the results are. Our gear ratios are capable of 165-169, maybe 171mph. Good luck...we are waiting.

v/r,
Chris

I flew past a cop once in an old car at 140(srt-4). He was stopped on the side of the road. He flipped on his lights, but I kept going. I took the next exit and a bunch of side streets it was scary as shit. But.... no ticket.
