Boost gauges
What boost gauge options are out there???
For example there is the Arwon (expensive and doesn't work with tuned cars) ECS vent gauge (angle of the vent bracket is only good for LHD) JB4 gauge hijack (accuracy?) MHD via phone (not really an integrated solution) Anyway none of these are a great solution IMO... What set ups are peeps running and what options are out there ![]() |

JB4 works fine, its responsive and also can show boost and your last high boost.
It holds your last high boost so you can go WOT and not have to be looking over at it, you can slow down then look and it stays there till the next big boost replaces it. At least I think thats what it did, I used it, thats all I could gather it was doing

I think it lugs into OBDII though which is ugly.

Yeah the P3Cars in-vent digital gauge is awesome. I had one back in my Audi days and can vouch for the quality and OEM look and feel. Doesn't look tacky at all

P3's do not work with JB4's.
I use the JB4 mobile app gauge, the only thing that bugs me about the boost readings is that it shows a little over boost in the readings. |

P3s work with piggybacks, you can get a version that you run a hose from the intake manifold to the gauge. I previously had a Procede and previous owner ran a P3 gauge in my car

p3 via obd you can't use jb4 also will only work with 08+ models (pre 08 don't have can H and can L on the port). They do sell a boost and battery for non obd installation, but its a lot of coin for a boost gauge.
OBD version has Code Read/Clear, Coolant Temp, Intake Air Temp, Exhaust Gas Temp, Throttle Plate, Speed, RPM with Shift-light, Battery voltage and more! |

I have the P3 gauge setup (v2.3) running via OBD port and also have the hose running into the engine bay for more accurate readings. I'm Cobb tuned and no issues with the P3. It is excellent and very stealth (looks factory). You can read so many parameters, view last max boost value, view & clear codes etc. Highly recommended.
![]() I assume it would work with MHD as that's just a flash using the same principle as Cobb.

If only P3 made a cheaper, boost reading only option.

I like my ECS guage. It was the only one that didn't cost a fortune. I thought I saw they have a RHD mount but I drive on the proper side so didn't pay it much attention.
