N54 vs 991 turbo S

Not my video but enjoyed watching it and thought I would share. Crazy to see a 3 series keep up with a super car.

What do you think really happened? The Porsche driver just didn't try so the 335i driver can make a video? Sounds absurd. I say the 911 turbo is stock.

Specs:
Model: 2017 Porsche 911
Horsepower: 580 hp
Torque: 553 lb.-ft.
Curb weight: 3,527 to 3,682 lbs
Engine: 3.8 L 6-cylinder

The 335i is a Pure Stg2. That's all we know. We don't know if it's on E85 and PI, maxed out but we do know that many of them run around at 600whp. They weigh about 3600 lbs with a driver.

So yeah, that's not that hard to believe.

EDIT

From the video's description:
335 has Pure stg2 turbos, FBO Inlets+outlet, JB4 19psi (map7) and race gas. (3340lbs)

Porsche 911 Turbo S is stock but they run mid 10's bone stock.

I don't know why this is so hard to belive this was a roll race. So the fact that the 991 runs mid 10s has 0 relevance. Et has more to do with efficiency of traction. The 991 turbo s traps at around 130mph. There are several n54s that have trapped in the 130+ range. My car is a monster on the high end but can't launch since the front different is weak. I'm about to do a pull with my buddy's alpha 7 GTR with e85. I honestly think it will be really close.

Depend on whether or not P driver is a cafe racer or not. On the track brass can overcome technology.

This guy has alot different videos. I was in the high 11's 120ish trap with stock intercooler, FBO and no meth, so I find it possible.

Pretty simple actually, you can see in the second race it was neck n neck almost.
first run was useless.
regardless I would rather drive the 911, lol. Wouldn't you.

That is not a 991.2 Turbo S. It is a 991.1 turbo S with less power. The 17s trap 130 stock, the 14-16 trap 126 or so. Not slow, but not 130 mph either. The TTS had a little more power than the BMW once they got a fair race which makes sense as you see the upgraded twins in the 125 mph range.

Notice how it is a 60 kick every time. From a lower roll the 991 would rocket away from the BMW. From a stop, the P car would disappear. They are absolute ROCKETS in the 1/8th mile and pull away from GTRs on a launch.

Laugh all you want. I owned a 911 turbo that was highly modded. In straight line speed the N54 is nothing to sneeze at once modded. I had a few friends find that out. The 335 and 135 are not race car. They are family sedans but to me personally I think its pretty impressive to keep up with super cars. I will post up some vids soon. Working on my build thread now...

You didn't own one that was highly modded enough. My 997TT is still on the stock turbos and ran a 5.9 60-130 (equivalent of a 140 mph trapping car) on 625 whp. It absolutely DEMOLISHES my brother's modded 132 mph '14 TA Viper from a roll. Bus lengths.

How are you going to tell me how modded my car was? Dont assume. I never said the 335i and my 911 was in the same league. In fact, you and I probably ran simular times in the Porsche. The point I was trying to make is that with these cars are getting into the 130+ trap range they are "nothing to sneeze at." A 991 turbo S is a great car car but I don't see how people think a n54 can't keep up with a stock 991 Turbo. I raced my boys Huracan last night there is a YouTube video if you want to check it out. I lost but not by much. His car traps right at 135. The fact that I keep up with him till 155 is impressive for a "family sedan."

It is unlikely that our cars ran anywhere near similar times if you were still on stock turbos and modded N54s didn't disappear in your rearview mirror. I am the one that pushed the development of the stock turbo E85 setup on the 997 platform and I have the fastest known 997.1 on OEM turbos 60-130, and the highest dyno numbers.

Regardless, my point was never that a heavily modded N54 couldn't keep up with a stock 911 turbo from a high roll. I'm simply adding some actual factually correct information to the thread instead of nebulous things like "highly modded" and "it was really fast, trust me"

I am doing some R&D on Porsche atm but this caught my eye. What is your 60-130 so I have something to use as a benchmark ? If you don't want to say you can email it to me, but I'm very interested in knowing this.

Thanks
