18x8.5 ET27 w/ 225/40 tyre - can someone put my fears to bed?!

Hi all,

As per title. I have just purchased a set of 18" wheels for winter use.

Rears don't worry me, as I know they will fit!

Fronts are 18x8.5 ET27 and I will be running a 225/40/18 winter tyre.

My car is lowered by 35mm on H&R's with Bilstein B8's.

I know lowering is subjective, but can anyone chime in with any experience?

I think they should work?

I run a 18x9.5+27 with a 255/35/18 and I'm fine. And your rim sticks out 12.5mm less than mine.

Ok great - thanks!

Is that lowered - no fender mods?

Thats not very aggressive for the front. I run 18x8.5 et22 with 255/35

OK great.

My main issue is that I do not want to roll my arches or increase my negative camber upfront.

I think a 225/40/18 should help matters, but having never had winters, I am not too sure if the 'run wide' with squarer shoulders!

These are F80 M3 wheels.

You won't need camber... You can fit a 255 without extra camber..
