Passat Karma

Usually when I see a police officer pull over a driver I think "poor driver, why did he get stopped?"

Not this time.

I'm driving down a 45mph blvd in work traffic and some asshat in a white Passat decides he is going to weave in and out of traffic, cutting people off, no signal, drinking a big gulp, and speeding to well over 60 when there was an opening and then slamming on his brakes at the next light. He made at least 20 dangerous moves in 2 miles and he did not advance his position relative to other cars more than 5 car lengths. Well finally he makes it to the front of a group of cars at the next stop light. I'm thinking he's going to take off like a Passat out of hell when the light turns green. I'm also thinking there is usually a motor officer stationed at the top of the hill around the bend just waiting for opportunities like this one. I'm crossing my fingers, hoping he is there on this day and he has his ticket book ready. Sure enough, Mr. Asshat Passat (that has a nice ring to it) takes off as expected. Sure enough, Mr. Motor Officer is at the top of hill around the bend. Sure enough, the officer sees this idiot and hits the lights to pull him over.

Perfect.

Totally agree with that.

It's one thing to speed, it's another to put other people in danger and just act like an asshole on the road.

Takes a while for the passat to hit 60, give him some credit for being persistent.

If I ever see someone like this and got pulled over by a cop, I will gladly stop and give the officer a look on my dash cam

Maybe he's a courier driving for a living and trying to feed his kid and afford a G.I. Joe with Kung Foo Grip for Christmas...

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
