The welds are poor? I'm pretty sure they are machine welded...

they are quite good in improving throttle respond and reducing back pressure, resulting in a freer flow exhaust.i am only worried about the poor welds breaking.so far there are no reports of weld failures here.

Hes not crazy in thinking that it CAN break because it moves. He just might be paranoid thats all because it most probably will never move enough.

I know they have a 5-year warranty. Has anyone had problems?
In addition to ~9000 street miles, I've put 15+ track days on the UR HFC pipes with Procede v1.47 and then V2. 80 minutes a day. So that's over 1500 track miles. No problems so far. |

guys you need to realize a little sumthin' about "SOME" fabricators/TIG welders they are a bit "touched"(argon induced dementia
) and very artistic in their views. some of the VERY good ones will look down on "good" welds with disgust, distaste and loathing in some cases. On a side note if the welds do not have good penetration they can crack from heat cycles alone. |

Not sure why everyone's jumping on the guy. He's a welder and he has valid arguments. DP's do fail since the motor is moving under torque and the exhaust might not move as freely. There were questions as to why no DP's had flex joints, but since everything for this car is new, we really won't know if the welds or the lack of flex joints will create problems until each aftermarket piece has had some miles and some failures.
