335i "Hissing" on WOT

Anybody have any idea what would cause a loud hissing noise on WOT...Happened last night coupled with a dramatic power loss and half engine light...The weird thing was I just had the fuel pump replaced less than a week ago for the same symptoms minus the hissing

Car is totally stock by the way

no idea, reminds me of my old muscle car when you took the carb lid off...kinda sounds like someone installed a BOV under there

both solenoid tubs on tight, and no code thrown...just that damn half engine light

Are you having any boost problems? I would check the plastic piping to check for boost leaks.

check the diverter valves and the two tube connections to them

Hissing and a CEL... can you build any boost? Sounds like a charge pipe popped off. Take a look at the piping from the cold side of your IC up to the throttle body.

I am guessing boost leak..I had that type of hissing sound on my S4 when I ruptured a throttle body boot. We dont have that kinda setup with the 335..but I would look at hoses going to and from intercooler/turbo
