How bad is the exhaust soot on the back of your car?

I have two TDi's - both tuned and DPF free.

The Touareg is terrible for soot accumulation - however the Jetta sedan is not.

I understand the 3.0 Treg puts out significantly more exhaust volume than the 2.0 - but I am curious to hear from the 335d owners.

The white car wouldn't look so bad if not for the handprints. I sure wouldn't let having to wash the car often deter the "mod". You should wash every 2 weeks anyway. The poor Dodge hadn't been washed since last time I had to take it to dealer ~ 2 yrs.

I have a toffee brown Jetta and white Treg.

A white car is the worst, Jetta is a non-issue.

The new 335d is red - but no worries. Mod is coming ASAP

Mine gets pretty sooty as well, especially after long road trips. It looks like just a matte finish eventually though.

My car is white. I have to wash it once a week. After some time the clear coat started deteriorating and now I will have to get it repainted with some type of clear bra on rear. #rideordie

Blue Water Metallic -- it's not bad but the tips get sort of sooty.

I really only see it on my exhaust. The tips are black, but beyond that it isn't bad. My car is the maroon/red color, whatever that's called.

Stage 2 JR Tune, full exhaust.

A stage 2 tune will show coat on the bumper after a couple thousand miles without washing (mild soot).

Stage 2+ to 4 will show about the same each tank. Really it depends how aggressive you drive; the more wide open you are the more accumulation there will be.

My kid was walking around the back of my car this weekend with a white shirt, when I met him on the other side, his shirt was black on the front where his baby belly sticks out. I had to laugh at that.

Stage 2+ here.

Na car runs mint. 12.5@110, almost 111 on fuel ONLY. Some cars on here are running water meth with big nozzles to achieve these kind of times.

Car is very healthy
