EWS-DDE Interface timeout EWS4 telegram
Hi,
I'm getting a repeated code in Carly - "EWS-DDE Interface Timeout EWS4 telegram" 002E3D. History, I was previously getting the above code + Smoothness Regulator cylinder # injector correction amount by adjusting range 004592 errors for 3 cylinders and the car went into limp mode. BMW via coverageone warranty went ahead and replaced all 6 fuel injectors, 2 weeks later, same problem with limp mode etc. They ended up replacing my engine head!!! so far ~20k in repairs last month. Now I haven't had limp mode again but I got the injector error a few times in carly and the top ews-dde error. The other day engine light came (small yellow but no limp mode) on with Nox errors too. - Nox sensor 0046B9 - DeNox 004D16 Also my warranty is finished so not sure if its worth keeping the car or not. I have 180,000 kms on it. I've had lot of repairs done on this car on warranty, new tranny, new intake manifold, new steering joint, lots of stuff, basically my question is should I keep the car or are more problems bound to happen. Thanks |

From the sound of it additional problrms are likely. Was the head replaced due to carbon build up? The nox sensors are expensive out of warranty.
Is your car being serviced at a dealer? |

I had carbon cleaning done a year ago or so when they replaced the intake manifold. So the head was replaced after they replaced all injectors and cylinder errors kept coming up. They said -exhaust gasses are blowing by the injector tips. Since the injectors are new, they determined that the head needs to be replaced as that is what the injectors are sitting on. Yes it was serviced at the local bmw dealer. |

Interesting, so the head was too warped for the injectors to seat properly. Did the car overheat? I've never heard of this on a 335d before (head warping, they overheat plenty)
