loose 6FL?
Anyone else notice that their 6fl plug (USB + audio jack) is kinda loose...or is it just mine? I noticed it yesterday. While playing my ipod, I wiggled the plug and my ipod lost connection! Wasn't a hard wiggle. Moved it maybe 1mm either way, but the entire housing for the 6fl plug moves...and my iPod switched back to the stereo. (it's been switching to radio at random sometimes)
I also noticed that turning the cord that goes into the headphone jack (rotating the plug inside the jack) causes the sound to get strange in the back speakers in particular. If anyone else could try it and post your results, I'd be greatly appreciated. I'd like to know if it's just me...and if it's something that would warrant a trip to BMW.

You should bring your car in; it sounds like the 6FL housing is slack. Mine is solid and doesn't move when you wiggle it (wow, that sounded perverted ). The USB and mini audio jack connections are pretty secure as well.

Mine sucks. The connector cord is too long...if I put my ipod in the pouch under the armrest, close the armrest and lean on it, sound will cut in and out, sometimes from one side to the other. Plus, I think my 6fl is loose too...it's just not a snug connection. let me know if taking it in solves the problem.

I'm experiencing the EXACT same situation as the OP, so you're not alone in this. I'm just waiting for a service to have them address the issue, and living with wiggling, pushing, or turning the minijack head until sound stops being weird. Let me know if they replace your 6FL cable or the connections themselves as well.
