Obviously still having issues. I am cut and pasting the link in the address bar when I view the image in photo bucket. Any suggestions?

You have to click into the picture you want and then copy where it says "direct" under share this photo.

Are you referring to the photo bucket program? All I see is 4 options to share like this:

Email & IM
Direct
HTML
IMG

You can upload photos directly to the forum - that way they will be displayed forever. Nothing more frustrating than finding an older thread with the info you need... and seeing broken photo links.

Just upload directly to the forum - using the GO ADVANCED mode/button. Make sure your photos are smaller than 400mb. Usually 100mb work well. I use a free programed called: FastStone Photo Resizer. I convert my photos and then upload them to the BP server.

I was having a very similar issue. I tried posting direct from my phone, then Flickr. The BP app just didn't like it.
