Engine stall at stoplight?
So I am sitting at a red light this morning. Engine temp was still cool and I was listening to the radio when my engine just stalls out of nowhere. No codes, no nothing. I have the auto and the only thing I was doing was keeping my foot on the break pedal.
Anyone else experience this? Thanks for input.

Yes, I do have V2. Interesting that you have that problem as well. This is actually the first time it has happened to me.

Is that happens from the beggining or just now? How long are you having V2 ?

This is the first time it has happened. I have a little over 15,000 miles now and have had the PROCede since it came out and V2 as soon as I could get it. I have had V2 for some time now.

This shouldn't be necessary the Procede. V2 is not interfering when car is idling. I would most possibly worring about FP.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the fuel pump. I took out the procede for 1 month and i did not get that problem. I dont get that stall often, like once in 1 month. But it was most rampant once i had my V2 in. After WOT and adapting, it was much better.

I have had a procede both versions for abt 14,000 miles and have not experienced a stall. Were there any changes or mods recently to your car?

I don’t think it’s the fuel pump either, especially because I have had it replaced already. Like I said, this is the first time it's happened to me and I was just curious if this was an initial symptom(s) to something down the line. Hopefully not. But this was the main reason I wanted to ask the community to see if anyone else was having similar problems.

It may or may not be due to the PROcede. Most likely not directly but possibly indirectly with a loose connection. But I would suspect that would show its self when under load.
Just chalk it up to an occurance until it happens again. |

My car (6mt, no ecu mods) used to do this occasionally, but usually after the engine had been running for a while. Never figured out what was causing it, but it hasn't happened in many, many months and the car seems to be fine after 17k miles of use.

FIX...
It's not the Procede. I've fixed this partly once and completely the second time. I believe the DI fuel system is a bit sensititive to gunk. Run 2 bottles back to back of a GOOOOOD fuel system cleaner through the tank and you should be fine. The first time I used a cheap cleaner once and the problem went away but came back soon after. 2 bottles of Redline fuel system cleaner back-to-back and the issue has been gone for over 2 months- and it idles better too. The "Treats 20 Gallons" version of Chevron stuff is a good substitute if you can't find Redline. The cheap versions are little more than kerosine; the better products actually have really good detergents in them. An average 7-day week for me is over 500 miles, so when the problem came and went, it did so probably a lot quicker than most other people would see it. |

Thought I was the only one,... I doubt its the fuel system needing cleaning as I have ALMOST ALWAYS used Shell 93 octane gas and only on rare occasions have I use Mobil 93 octane. |

I actually had this exact same problem today and I am running v2. I have about 4k miles with mine and this is the first time it has happened.

Thanks for the input. It's interesting you mention under load. For the last week I have not gotten a chance to go WOT and this evening I was messing around and when I get the RPMs up, I would say 4K to 5K and past; I get some serious sputtering going on under the hood. Almost as if the engine is misfiring and hiccupping. It sounded terrible. Guess it's time to break open the ECU box and check for loose wiring. I will report back and let you know what I find. I should get a chance to check it tomorrow. I hope that’s all it is.

A local guy had an issue under load with some misfires. We did what I mentioned above and the car ran smoothly afterwards and has continued to do so. Just FYI... |

Well, here's to hoping that V3 doesn't cause a bunch of cars to randomly stall while idling. Hell, if I wanted a tuned car that stalled when it got moody, I'd have kept my GN.

Btw, I had the same problem last night. When I pulled up to a driveway and had my foot on the brake, the car just shut off. And I have the Helix Attache. So, I don't think this problem is because of the PROcede V2.

I have had this happen when running procede 1.47 while sitting at a stop light last summer. I don't think it is procede related. When I idle now with V2 or previously with 1.47 the rpms bounce up and down between 500 and 700 (Manual trans). Funny thing is it does not happen until it is warm weather outside. All winter long it never did the rpm bounces.
