Low Gloss Dash Protectant??

I have always used a low gloss dash protectant since I don't like a really like the shiny look. STP and Armor All and one other company used to make these products.
I cannot find them any more. Does anybody have a recommendation for a low gloss dash treatment??

Thanks in advance!

A good but pricey one is 303 Aerospace protectant, another one I like is Optimum Protectant plus which seems to be very similar to the 303. Meg's QID(although I'm not sure if it really protects all that much) is probably your best bet for something over the counter.

I use Chemical Guy's Silk Shine and really like it. Gives the dash a darker clean look but it is not greasy at all.

Does it smell like bad BO? If so you may have a bottle that froze sometime during the time it was shipped to the place you bought it from. I had the same issue and sent them an email and they took care of me. The new bottle I received was almost scentless.

Poorboy's definately has some of the best smelling products. They're Natty's blue and EX-P smell awesome.

Some great products mentioned in this thread. Each product has their pros and cons. Poorboy's Natural Look is a great all around dressing for your interior as it cleans and UV protects in one step, not to mention it smells great. Chemical Guys Silk Shine is nice because it cleans and protects as well. 303 Aerospace Protection is a very versatile product, and offers excellent UV protection. Can't go wrong with any option, minor differences between the looks, but all provide a pretty matte finish.

I Googled the 303 and many of the reviews say "slick" or "shiny". I am looking for LOW GLOSS. Any comments form 303 users- Shiny or lw gloss? Thanks!

I always used to use the Armor All low gloss too and liked how it left it black but not shiney. Since they've stopped selling it, I use the regular one and then take a very damp towel and wipe over it immediately, then buff it with a dry rag. It gives the same exact efffect that the low gloss one did.

Here's a picture I took of 303 Aerospace Protectant on the right and nothing on the left. Left side was factory new. Personally, I never see any gloss with 303, but I always make sure I apply it, then take a second towel and buff it completely dry.

Hope that helps.

It depends how much you use, if you apply a decent amount it does have some gloss, but I like to spray some on a microfiber and then wipe it on. Just use a little less for a more matte look, and buff it off with a clean MF for less shine.

If you spray it on, wipe it around, then buff it with a dry cloth, it'll leave a matte shine.
