Yet another former TDi guy now with a 335d

Hello all. My 2012 Jetta TDi gets returned to VW Tuesday afternoon and Monday my 335d gets shipped this way. This will be my DD. I am a DIY guy and hope to learn much from you guys.

and one of my other cars that the 335d matches:

Welcome. I turned in my '11 Golf TDI last month, but I had this '11 335d for 3 years. I love the change. Nice color too!

Very Nice! I am also curious as to where you located this one. You don't see too many of the Le Mans Blue M Sports for sale out there. At least I don't. Congrats on the find!

Thanks for the welcome guys/gals. I am from/in South Carolina. My sister graduated from U. South Carolina in 93 also haha. Had another sis graduate from there in 97 and I went to USCA and grad in 05.

Found the car on the west coast. A little high mileage at just under 100K. As far as options it is Msport, paddle shifters, idrive, black interior.

Wife wants to keep the pink plate frames. Told her she is not driving it since she does not realize that gas pedals are not on/off switches and you can ease into the gas.

Nice full package with folding seats, paddle shifters and even rear sunshades. You have a base stereo, but that is easy to upgrade. Congrats.

I will look into this as I iPhone music/books and satellite is what I use to keep me from going insane on the back roads to work. The Jetta had the nice Fender sound system so I will look into upgrading.

I find the base stereo to be as good if not better than the fender system. I also had the fender in my '12 jetta

Just get an aux cable to plug into the phone.

I use both iPhone cable and aux cable - sound quality is good and you can stream music/videos, etc...

This Audiotec Fischer has made a world of difference to my base (correct HiFi) stereo. Plugs into an existing harness and is programmable. In the Audio subforum there are various threads where you can search and download customized tuning for it. You can also ask them to preload a tune for you. There was a groupbuy a while back that knocked a few hundreds off. But literally, I now actually want to listen to the music in the car. And that is with still original speakers.
