Never really understood the purpose of brake upgrades on a car like this, if you hit the brakes hard enough ABS will go on, now you just don't need to hit them as hard. Not a big accomplishment.

if he hits the track, itll be worth it. A lot of people do it for the look of the calipers being what ever color you get them and showing on the car.

nice choice, want to know what the real world difference would be between 4/6 piston calipers? I would get them to help stop brake fade on the track

If you use your car as a daily driver then there is really no purpose aside from shedding some weight depending upon the kit, but if you track your car its a different story. I guess you can argue that all you would need is some better fluid and a set of track pads, but I guess it depends on how hard you can push your car and how long your sessions are.

If the research I've done is correct, brake fade is caused by either a build up of temperature beyond a brake pad's "kneepoint" or boiling brake fluid. Boiling brake fluid is easy to correct with better fluid. A combination of higher temperature resistant pads and rotors with better cooling capabilities would be the primary way to reduce brake fade. I think the primary benefit in terms of fade from a BBK is also the increased surface area, not necessarily the fact that it has more pistons. I believe the primary benefit from that is improved brake feel.

He asked if it would make a difference in ultimate stopping power, it won't, just get you to the limit with less pushing.

With r-comps / slicks, the stronger bite will actually make a big difference now as the stock brakes may not have enough bite to slow the car down so quickly that the tires lock up immediately and trigger the ABS. Here the BBK probably shines the most.
