Fminus has suggested in the past, if you can leave it on for 24 hrs...
![]() ![]() I only do one coat of jetseal, but I am sure you will here different. I never really saw any benefit of multiple coats of products (jetseal, z2/z5, and DG 105). But I usually put a topper wax on mine and my customers cars. |

Dont worry, for it is just like wax application. You just wipe on, leave time to bond to the paint, and wipe off.

I think he means apply one and wait 12hrs, then wipe off and apply another and wait another 12hrs=24hrs and 2 coats

When I did mine over the weekend, I applied the jet seal and let it sit for about 15 minutes after I had finished applying it to the entire car. Then started to remove it with a dry microfiber cloth in the order I applied it (so the seal had probably been sitting for more like 25 mins or so). The directions on the bottle say to let it sit for 20 minutes between applications, so I did that. Then I applied a second coat the same way I did the first one. The second coat came off much easier than the first one. After 20 minutes, I applied a coat of Petes 53. Came out nice.

Yes. All waxing, polishing, and sealing should be done inside.

paul from CG told me to apply it by hand. because if you apply it by machine he says that it "breaks apart the molecules of the sealant" thus, it wont last as long.

Ordered yesterday Chemical Guys: 50/50 Limited Series Concourse paste wax and Chemical Guys: Jet Seal 109. I should test it when it arrives.
Im planning to wash my car. Dry it. no1 layer jetseal then let it dry for 30mins and then another layer n02 and 30min and then im going to apply wax. Should be enough protective. |

Is jetseal really worth the hype? It seems pretty expensive to me and I remember seeing a comparison against collinite on autopia and collinite looked like the clear winner as far as longevity was concerned.

Jetseal is the best sealant on the market.
CG tested it @ 94 degrees non-stop for 6 months and it still held up to the conditions. It was designed and has lived up to all expectations. Collinite is a wax as Jetseal is a true synthetic sealant. So as far as I am concerned Collinite is good for a month and Jetseal is good for 6 months. Not to mention Jetseal's protection is far tougher than any wax on the market.

I am still on the fence with this one...I am using it now on all my customers that get sealant packages. It really has a GREAT shine, Very happy with it!! As for durability, I personally feel that other products last longer (which i personally don't care about too much since I am constantly cleaning) DG105, either zaino's (ect) i feel last longer.. AS for price...take z5 is 8oz for $17....jetseal is $38 16oz so it is pretty much the same! It really is not the expensive compared to the plethora of paste waxes out their!!! (that I can't stop buying... ![]() |

Theres been a lot of talk about JS being hyped and under performing on other forums. Im going to try out the products the other members are claiming that are better.
If it really does work better, then Ill start using those, if not, then Ill keep using JS. There is no incentive for me or them to "convince" anyone of anything. Its whatever makes the end user happy! |
