Thermostat Replacement
Hi - my water pump recently stopped working on my '08 335xi, so I bought a new thermostat while I was at it and had my local indy shop replace both. Water pump works fine now, but the new thermostat is stuck open, thus, I need to have the work done again to replace it... Does anyone know if the one-time use bolts need to be purchased again for a thermostat-only replacement (i.e., does the water pump need to be removed as well)?
Thanks |

How sure are you that the new thermostat is stuck open and that the DME isn't targetting a low coolant temp due to a fault? Have you checked for fault and shadow fault codes?

Did you run the test to check the new water pump?
