Cabin Odour

Have noticed a slight damp/musty/chemical smell present in the cabin or possibly coming through the aircon when I start up. Seems to go after a few miles though

Doesn't seem to matter what time of day (cold start) or after work.

Anyone else experience this?

Its bacteria in the system, its quite common...nothing wrong except for needs a refresh or treatment by air cond men...its like a stale air/mould build up.

Try turning the heater to fully hot and drive around with the heater full on with no air recirculation, this will sometimes dry out the system and kill the smell. Also check to see that the microfilter is not clogged and dirty.
If this does not work, your local car accessory place will sell a cleaner device from comma, you close the car up with engine running, put the a/c on recirculate and set device off in car - wait about 15 mins, job done, costs less than £15. I have used it and it works well

Is the microfilter easily accessible to check?
