2010 iDrive Navigation Update
I currently have a 2010 w/ iDrive.
I would like to update the navigation to the 2016 maps. Reading on forums it says I have to purchase a CD for this or stick in a usb with the correct files? Either way it seems like I'd have to purchase something. I currently do not have a CD inside for the my current navigation. Does anyone have experience with updating their iDrive? If so, what procedure(s) did you have to do? Thanks! |

This. I also know of a local coder who can get you the FSC code. PM me if you want his contact info.

I'll have to look into this, I've got the original 2011 maps in my car and figured I'd have to pay to get them updated!

A $5 Enet cable and a read through of a thread in the coding forum will get you a lifetime FSC code. Seriously, it's so easy to get do it yourself.

Might want to check if your car falls under time frame where the CIC firmware doesn't allow you to update the maps completely. Mine always freezes at 96% and cannot be completed unless I get the CIC firmware updated.
