under seat woofer question.

Was disappointed with bavsound under seat woofers. So, I've been looking for another pair to try.
Rockford Fosgate has a set that is specifically made for e90 with correct connectors. but at 600 a pair is ridiculous.

What you guys think about this set?

Currently using bimmertech amp.

stop drinking the koolaid my friend.

bavsound is not high quality. it's just convenient.

there is nothing that will go under the seat that will knock your pants off. you'll need to put a sub in the trunk.

If your not a bass head the Jehnert xe-200's are and audiophile
speaker they are warm and super accurate. Anything decent you put
in the under seat area will need more power than the stock amp can
deliver. As far as I have seen most of the better speakers cost around
500 .
I have heard the earthquakes and there pretty decent at low end bass
with and amp but if your intention is to impress people a half block away you need
a bass head setup. And most of them will just be irritated and think your
a jerk which you are.

I've been completely satisfied with the bass coming from my SWS 8xi swaps with stock HU and audio via Nexus tablet to USB DAC to AUX - no real amplification and the sound is great and not too much to be 'that guy'.

I'm going to be adding a separate amp other than the bimmertech amp for the underseats. I'm not looking for insane bass. But I would like a quality clean sound and be able to feel it. Not looking to impress anyone outside the car, just in .

I would say look at your budget, I currently have Focal underseat subs and they do well with an amp, don't know how it is without an amp though.

I say with these you feel the bass and it's of high quality, sounds very good of course.

I have videos of the Focal underseat sub and speakers, but if you listening through laptop speakers make sure you wear good headphones or good speakers to hear the quality.

Another vote for the Jehnert Underseats - but I also installed the Bimmertech PnP DSP/Amp with a custom tune at the same time. IDK what they would have sounded like with my factory HiFi amp...

As stated before, you will never get satisfactory bass from the underseat locations, unless your audio standards are quite low. The best thing to do is NOT to spend a ridiculous amount of money on Focal or Bavsound, but rather to use the existing location for mid-bass duties only (either by re-using existing HiFi or L7 drivers) and installing a dedicated trunk sub. If you have Base audio, the OEM drivers are junk and you could probably install those CDTs for a notable improvement (with additional amplification). If you have HiFi or L7, you can amplify the existing drivers and be careful not to overdrive them and using a high-pass filter above 60Hz.
