Been looking for spare style 189 wheels, and wondering if anyone knew of any good junk yards in the NYC/Queens/LI area.

Searching junk yards, I found some salvaged E92s for $500-$1k. Anyone have experience with salvaged cars? As in, buying them for parts?

I do alot of business with junk yards out here in long island, from expierence, most of them can be scumbags but alot of them are also good guys who will work with you on price and also work with you on part outs.

These are 189's. They came with the E92 Sport package from 07+ (not sure when they stopped though).

I've only been to one junk yard on LI; around 16 years ago. I just remember buying two extra rims for my Honda Prelude at the time. Would like to do the same for my E92... And maybe find an X1 steering wheel cover cheap.

The only unfortunate thing is that they do not list the wheels by BMW number.

Hey sorry I just saw your reply now, I'm good friends with the guys at Ace in deer park as well as Alliance and A plus in lindenhurst if you find any of them have the parts you need, tell them Austin from BMW sent you, ace is the best with actually letting you pick parts off cars, if it's a fresh car they will basically let me go in and pick anything down to a connector off a car, alliance and a plus are total dismantle shops so as soon as a car comes in they tear it down but they do keep a lot of parts.

Awesome. I just checked out Ace, but they didn't have anything I wanted. Looking at the other two also. Nice to know a few local spots though; thanks!
