I'm suprised no one started a thread about this yet but who went to go see it? What did you think? It's obviously not going to be better than the first one, just like LeBron will never be better than Jordan but I'm curious to see what people think!

Entertaining if you go in with appropriate expectations. Roman was a highlight with some classic Romanesque one liners. New Brian kind of sucked and was a throwaway character. Was hoping for more from Ramsey and Shaw. Shaw in particular, kills Han then everyone plays nicely with him after 30 seconds of conflict? Was tough to swallow. His closing action sequence was hilarious in a terrible ridiculous and stupid sort of way.

Not that there's a ton of plot in these films to begin with but there seemed to be a lot to play with from a dramatic perspective that they basically ignored.

Hope in the next movie the Tej/Roman/Ramsey triangle gets messy and entertaining. Predict that FF20 will feature Owen Shaw and Nikko (Vince's kid) all grown up and flipped to the dark side since he grew up without a father and Dom hasn't spent enough time with him.

The opening scene in Havana with the girls wearing "skirts" is fun. I don't think it actually qualifies as a skirt if your entire ass is on display.

Pornhub also has similar opening scenes for free. It is also fun.




Fast movies lost their appeal a while ago. But, they keep making new ones to appeal to new audiences, so while they may retain new, they've lost a lot of the old.

Did you see in addition to finishing the third trilogy they are talking spin-off franchises for some of the characters?

This is not stopping anytime soon it was the largest opening weekend ever.

After watching the first one I'm still amazed they made a sequel.

My friend walked out of the theatre, that's how much he hated this movie. My group of friends have seen them all in theatres since we were young.

The movie starts in a fun and cheesy fashion, but it's a little too stupid.

He walked out when Vin's car is being towed by 3 other cars and the tires are on fire but he pulls them back. During this scene the other characters take turns guessing the HP rating of Vin's car.

"That thing must have 2000 hp!"
"3000 thousand,"

"5 thousand!!"

It was bad. At one point the rock kicks/pushes a torpedo while in a moving car.

Not the best F&F some scenes were so un realistic would love it if they went back to basics Cars, races and booty

Too many damn explosions...like everything is blowing up all the time! Get back to basics...sort of like Bond movies did with Daniel Craig.

Saw it last night and I agree it was all too cheesy. I've been following the franchise and enjoyed all except Tokyo Drift. First one was great, 2nd one was pretty good too, F7 was really good IMO.

F8, however, I almost walked out due to how stupid and unrealistic it was. In the past a lot of the scenes were definitely not realistic but somewhat believable if you just kind of turn off your brain. This one, even after turning my brain off, it was still too stupid. Vin was surprisingly good in the movie. The rest of the cast just sucked at acting. So many plot holes and crap to complain about. Way to much CGI that looked really fake.

2 main things: why were the Russians chasing the gang instead of stopping the damn submarine at the end? This confuses me. Also, the whole, "let's go all out" thing with the cars at the toy factory was so lame. And yet after that they brought along what looked like a fucking Subaru???? Really? Amongst all the cars they had they chose a Subaru??

I agree that this franchise needs to stop. They won't though because it's making so much money for the studios. I mean, Vince went from racing cars on the street to being some God who saves the world from villains?

They're just fun, dumb movies. I love the Rock and Statham, so it's a must buy for me on Blu-ray when it comes out.

The movies are obviously getting more ridiculous, I don't think they'll ever top the bank vault scene in FF5 where Brian and Dom pull that huge vault down the street smashing everything in their way like a bowling ball. That was a great scene!
