I'm thinking about getting a 335i soon but the problem is that it comes with the base audio with no tweeters. I found this kit on ecstuning that's an upgrade to the alpine system. Anybody ever used it and how difficult of an install is it?

I believe you have to recode after install.

While I'm sure it makes an impact, other than some increased power from the amp, you're not doing anything with the underseat low range woofers.

I have already ordered what OP was referring to (this). a couple of questions:

1. Do I have subs under the seat? is there a way to know without removing the seat?
   
   

   Its not that much of an upgrade for the price.

2. Why? Should I return it? Is there a way to further upgrade this retrofit kit?

Why is not that much of an upgrade .
It doesn't upgrade the under seats and
from what I understand the amp is no more
watts than the hi fi system .

The stereo system has 6.5 inch speakers under the
seats which are glued into there enclosures.
