Is my hpfp doomed? Now with logs

I've been getting quite a few 2AAF fuel pump plausibility codes recently. Two days I checked I've had 2FBD high pressure shadow code.

The car starts immediately and drives perfect apart from throttle surge on a cold start for about 2 mins then it's fine.

Flashed back to stock and still got it.

No e85 , can't get it here.

I can't post a log at the moment as I flashed back to stock. Monitor module needs mhd installed.

Going to do some searching and see if inpa can help me read the output if hpfp vs what it should be

When I click on monitor all the values are zero now I'm back to stock?

I can still read codes and reset adaptions.

I've always used UK equivalent of 93 Oct fuel but last few tanks at stock I've just put in 95ron which is like 91 Oct.
Could this be upsetting things ?

So when you log or monitor your hpfp, what are you looking for? Is it not supposed to drop below a certain level when you do a pull?

I was always told sustained drops of below 1000psi are when to be concerned. Though of recent times, I've been told that less than 1500psi at the redline is something to worry about too.

1000psi is a good rule of thumb.

Ok thanks for that. I'll reinstall mhd so I can log again , don't know why my monitor isn't working on stock tune.

It sits at 725psi at idle which I saw on inpa and I've read that's Bang on for idle. So during normal driving less than 1000psi would mean a tired pump ?

Strange that the car starts so quickly and has no problems at full throttle etc.

You need WOT logs. Readings at idle or cruise won't tell you much. You need to see what it's doing under high load.

+1, rail pressure is actually controlled by an actuator on the fuel pump itself. It's not engine speed related as such so you need to be giving it the beans to see what it does.

Took a couple of logs tonight. Running on mhd stage 1+

I think the 2nd log may show a problem with the HPFP? I floored it and it took a few seconds before it actually started to pull properly, I see on the log theres a slow gradual increase in PSI on the rail instead of a nice quick one like you see when I change to 4th gear. Thoughts?

Also my boost is a bit below target a lot of the time, would this be tired boost solenoids?

Log says your LPFP and HPFP are both fine. Rock solid on both of them.

Could be one of a number of things. It's weird that it hits target then tails off.

Do your wastegates rattle at all? It won't do any harm to replace boost solenoids. Maybe look at your recirc valves and pipework and make sure everything is ok there too.
