ECS BOV Noise

Hello everyone,

Last week I installed the ECS chargepipe w/ BOV kit and I noticed whenever Im WOT and go to shift and then floor it again I hear a noise that sounds like air getting pulled back through the BOV for a second. Is this normal? Its almost like a small whistle when I floor it, again only happens after shifting and WOT. I can post a video for further clarification if needed. Definitely doesnt feel like a problem just curious if this is normal.

Are you running the correct spring for your boost levels?

But please post a video so we can help figure out if it's normal or if you have an issue!

Oh good, someone from ECS lol. Im stock, using the spring which is pre-installed in the BOV (assuming this is the one for stock). I can put in the spring for moderate boost and see if there's a difference. Its only on acceleration and I dont notice any issues at all, just that noise when WOT for a split second. Ill post a vid either tonight or tomorrow.

I think I know the sound you're describing, give the moderate spring a try, good chance it'll take care of that.

Havent been on here in a while and forgot about this post.. going to install the moderate tomorrow. Maybe since I have a 335is the overboost funtion is the culprit.

Edit: also, what psi is each spring rated for?
