For sale is Bavsound's excellent stage one speaker upgrade kit for the E90/E91/E92 base audio system. This is 4 speakers (2 door, 2 rear, both with integrated tweeters) plus the Ghost underseat subwoofers. These are a fantastic upgrade over the base system, and give much richer sound with punchier base. The subs must weigh triple what the stock ones do at least, they really make a big difference. Installation is very easy, they're plug and play and took me a little over an hour to do all 6.

These were in my car for 6 months, I just no longer have the vehicle. As you can see in the pictures, they'll ship in the original boxes and packaging and are in near-new condition.





Total was $794 from Bavsound after a $100 coupon, I'm asking $425 shipped.

for the base system, is this plug and play? do you need a different amp to drive these??

Totally plug and play, they'd of course sound even better with an upgraded HU and amp, but by themselves they're a big improvement.

I believe the speakers should fit yes, I don't think any of the brackets are different between the audio systems. Just the speakers themselves (and number of them).

Does it include the 4 tweeters? That's what's in those boxes at bottom?

Looks like this would need something to match resistance for the L7 system. I had base audio in my car so that's the package I ordered.

I asked about this before ordering, this was Bavsound's email answer to me:

"That's actually an older version of the kit shown in the video; we have since integrated the tweeters into the midranges as that provides the following three benefits:

1. Better acoustical performance due to higher efficiency (since we are using a low power amp built into the head unit)
2. Better performance due to point source design
3. Lower cost since we don't have to use factory BMW parts, and can use fewer speakers

All of this is to say that the kit you're looking at is actually an 8 speaker system, with the tweeters and midranges integrated into a single speaker unit, and our recommended setup for Base audio cars for the best possible performance."
