Removed TPMS, might need new transfer case under warranty. Should I code TPMS prior?
My car is exhibiting signs of a bad transfer case. It's covered under CPO, and I plan on making an appointment soon.
I coded out the TPMS system a year or two ago, works great, no issues. Is the DSC module on the transfer case itself? Will the process of installing a new transfer case throw errors related to TPMS possibly? I'm wondering if I should re-enable TPMS before bringing it in. This is the only coding I had to do: Code:
2) Code OUT $2VB and ADD IN $265 in the VO. 3) Change the following codes in CIC, KOMBI, and XDSC: CIC: RPA_CIC aktiv CIC: RDC nicht_aktiv CIC: RDC_SAFETY nicht_aktiv KOMBI: RDC_ALIVE nicht_aktiv KOMBI: MMI_ENA_RPA_RDC aktiv KOMBI: RDC_VERBAUT nicht_aktiv KOMBI: DSC_MIT_RPA_CC aktiv KOMBI: RDC_DISP_SWITCH nicht_aktiv XDSC: AUSSTATTUNG_RPA aktiv Thanks! |

The DSC module is under the hood, not part of the transfer case. My concern here is that a transfer case replacement will almost certainly require connecting to the car with ISTA-P to calibrate the new parts. The program may have an issue with your modified VO when it compares it to the VO stored on BMW online. To make 100% certain that you don't have warranty issues, I would probably code everything back to default

Then, all I'll have is a TPMS light, which shouldn't affect any of the repairs. (I removed and sold my TPMS sensors a few years ago) |
