screw in tpms valve compatibility (wheel style 230)
Hi all,
I have 2011 335i N55 E93N convertible. I have been told that two of my wheels are bent and so have ordered refurbished one of them online from autorimshop (please feel free to suggest any other trusted site). But it seems the tpms valve stem is not fitting in. I have same style of wheel (LA style 230 5 spoke 19") but all are different serial number : front driver : 36116779658 front passenger : 36116785002 rear driver : 36116785003 rear passenger : 36116779659 according to bmw, 36116779658/36116779659 are considered obsolete as of 2013 and they started manufacturing 36116785002/36116785003. I see on ecs tuning website compatible tpms screw-in valve part number is 36146792829, but when i check on realOem website, it shows up as 36136775937 based on my vin. Both from just looking at them look the same. I went to a local tire shop and the guy checked that 36146792829 is not fitting with wheel# 36116779658. I don't have 36136775937, otherwise would have checked it. Does anyone know which tpms screw in valve is a valid one and why would tpms valve stem change just with the newer version of the same wheel? |
