:( E90 Rubbing w/ Iforged M3 filaments :(
So.. i just picked up some Iforged Senekas M3 Filament. The M3 had big brakes front and rear. The front tires are 235/35/19 General Exclaims. The rears are 275/30/19 General Exclaims
So, my car is lowered on H&R sport springs. My fenders are NOT rolled yet but yeah.. im not sure what the wheel offsets are because Iforged wont disclose them to me. Im thinking about running 255/35/19 tires Like the OEM e46 m3's. The tire will be slightly stretched and maybe a little fender roll. Does anyone know the offsets of Iforged Senekas M3 filaments? The wheels are super hott and look aggressive on my car. Brushed aluminum + polished lip Also, im looking for a solution to this, a proven one if possible maybe the e90 guys who are running BBS CH 19x10 et 20's?? or anything similar. what did u do to fix your problem? I find it inconvenient that they don't give you the offset for your 19" wheels, but I guess all you can really do is work with what you can see. I wish I could see the stance of the wheels from the top so that I can visually estimate how much you'd want to work with. You can always try shaving off a couple millimeters off the hub of the wheel, or if you dont' want to, just start with rolling your fender and then get smaller tires if need be.

+2, roll your fenders, run a skinnier tire like Falken or Toyo, switch to 265 and that should take care of the rubbing.

Im currently running -2.0 camber in the rears... Im thinking of getting some 255/35/19 tires. They're OEM spec on the e46 m3's and will run slightly stretched. If that doesnt work, a nice fender roll in addition should mos def do the trick.... RIGHT??
i have a feeling the wheels are 19x10 et 25 or so.. i had some 19x9.5 et 20 and it rubbed kind of the same. except here.. im lowered |

thanks! if i ran 245/35/19... will that hurt my performance? factory spec is 255/35/18 i mean, my car is slightly lowered. 255/35/19 tires will be slightly taller than what i have now, i just dont wanna rub. I dont do any crazy racing or anything, just cruise and i usually have passengers in the car

Andy, just roll the fenders dude... you dont want people seeing a 245 in the rear... you want it to look aggressive man. you can probably still get away with the 275's by just rolling the fenders.

you gotta roll the fenders for sure. also consider running some toyo t1r's or falken fk's as they run skinny and the tires are rounded.
my current set-up: 19x10 with 22mm offset, toyo t1r 265/30-19, rolled fenders and slightly pulled, -2.0 camber, st coilovers. i was having some rubbing issues initially. i raised the rear one click and had the camber done to -2.0 (you can go up to -2.1 and still be within spec). i haven't heard it rub in a while, but i think it may still rub on really big dips/bumps (rubs on the fender liner). i've also have not driven with a fully loaded car yet (had a max of three people so far with my current set up).

lucky for my friend sam owns an eastwood fender roller. he's rolled over 50+ cars, mainly 240's and such ( he's a drifter) he can roll and pull them. He's done 3 bmws so far, they all look great. i guess i'll roll my fender and see how it goes. If i still get rubbing anyone wanna trade some 275/30/19 generals for 265/30/19? OR... 255/35/19??????
LMK!! (ps: locals please, if possible that is) |

265/30 should be fine
What's the width of wheels? 255 would look silly on 10 or 10.5, marginally ok for 9.5

they're Iforged Senekas M3 filament. They're 10inches... im not sure of the offset but im estimating et22-25
I wanna be able to have a full load of people (5) a full tank of gas and still drive over humps w/o rubbing.. im gona roll and pull my fenders out and also run something smaller than 265, only because it leaves me move vunerable to rubbing.. bleh, this sucks. I dont mind having a slight stretched look even though it wont be because the GENERAL tire sidewalls arent like the toyos or falkens |

hmm..... that's a toughie then..... I would roll the fender to the max first determine how much rubbing you have that way go from there.

Don't buy new tires until you do the aggressive fender roll and then go from there. Dont' work backwards. I am thinking of doing a 19x10 ET23 rear with 285's on my E90 with some fender work. I'll see how that goes.
Let us know how it turns out. |

I'd like to see if the 285's fit. I'm running the same M3 offset as the OP with my HRE's and 275 tire but with ZSP. I'd like to get 285's in the rear, but the options for tires is pretty slim in 19's.

I had the same wheels and the same problem. I had 5mm shaved off of the inside of the wheel to changed the offset but ended up selling the wheels before I put them back on. The guy who bought them put them on an e46 m3 so I really dont know if shaving 5mm solved the problem or not but its an idea.

I totally agree. 265-60-19 with Toyos on 19x10 ET26 is what I'm running without rubbing. I never rubbed with the H&R sport springs. |
