heh, this is the first direct injection turbo car I've owned, when I first saw my A/F ratios, I seriously thought the car was going to blow up. (Mine are similar to your's) I still boggle when I see them, but my car works fine.

(and in fact, worked great at 15psi with 1/2 tank of 100 octane at thunderhill in 100 degree heat yesterday)

You went to T-hill yesterday? That must have been miserable. Last time i was there this time of the year, we couldn't even open our mouths due to all the gnats flying around!

No gnats this time, but holy hell it was hot. My temp readout on the dash showed 104 in one session.

Looks good man. Natural Top speed of 335 is actually 181.2 mph. If you are on the road you may not get there due to drag. After 150mph the effect starts getting quite noticeable and the wind noise gets very loud too. I think you definitely hit 175mph. The car goes past 160mph in 5th gear! The dial hits 160 and does not go past that, even the car keeps gaining speed.

The A/F for 5th gear is interesting, not as rich.

Exclamation Yeah, be careful with those little fans. Your car will overheat easily.

It shows you a yellow warning and says drive slow, and no matter what you doi from there on, in two seconds it will be red hot and flash red thermometer in the small display in the instrument cluster then limp. Couple of those and your head gasket goes bye bye. BMW aluminum heads don't just hate over heating, they can't take any, so unless you want to drop mucho $$$ be careful dyno-ing with those puny fans. BTW don't let the the oil gauge fool you. It reads 245F and car gets red hot and limps due to no air flow over the radiator. I saw it with my own eyes, and its not funny. If its your car you will get that awful sinking feeling in your gut. It was painful watching it happen. They restarted the car thinking it had cooled, but even the oil tempos had crept up while the car was off, and the readout still showed red. Do not let them run more than a couple of pulls in rapid succession if the fan is puny. In case you guys are unaware, the N54 already has overheating issues on cylinder 5 and 6, and you sure don't need user induced overheating making things worse.

Performance-wise, nothing but Dinan Stage II Flash and a modified CDV from RissRacing (which adds no power... just better shifting)

no, sorry... not yet... =/ although I've heard someone with a Dinan flash hit 12.9s at 107.xx mph

I'm installing some KWv2's and H&R sway bars next weekend and then try to get to an autocross function soon... no drag strips planned yet, though... sorry!
