USB in glovebox

Hey everyone!

I have just bought a USB "kit", because I am used to listening to my music via USB.

My indie tells me that the jack is not compatible with my radio, that maybe they ordered the wrong one.

Cable is just like the one above, green one.

If he is right, what is the right cable?

Or do I need more than just the cable and the socket?

Car is a 2006 330d with iDrive with Navigation Professional.

Thanks in advance.

PS: Also, new member here. Is there any section for intros?

As far as I know USB was not an option on 06 models.
Indeed when people talk about retrofitting 6fl =USB to and
06 using the OEM Mulf 2 hi or Combox they have to change
the production date on the car to something past 3/07 to even
get the software to load.

Easy way to get USB and streaming bluetooth on a 06 is the following.

There are a wealth of sub forums here incluiding a stereo sub forum coding and idrive subforum that relates to this.

Fack! I thought people would go to all the trouble because of the BT connectivity, thought the USB would be easy-peasy.

Will look into that adapter you posted, since I dont have cd changer at all so i wont miss anything.

Im a new E90 owner, and altho I try to search a lot I still get lost in translation with all the Mulfs and Mosts

Appreciate the help and the links
Will try to be more knowledgeable on my next try....

This is convoluted and complicated stuff.
Best to do a lot or research and then do some more
before proceeding with any thing on these.
