Correct Motor Mount Kit for 2006 325i?
hi - i am having trouble finding a motor mount and transmission mount kit for my e90 2006 325i 6mt.
would either of these work? only the 335 is listed as compatible, but my searches show people using 335 motor mounts as an upgrade for the 328/325. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...22116760330kt/ https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/e92drvmntkt/ im just taking an educated guess in that i need new motor and transmission mounts. the car has 102k miles. Not sure when it was last replaced. symptoms include: 1) in first gear at low speeds (3k rpm) - when i let off the gas, it feels like the engine is moving significantly, and creates a shift or thunking noise, short vibration, in the car cabin 2) when going 60mph on the highway in 6th gear (2k rpm), when i give slight gas, or let off gas, i can feel a thump coming from the engine or transmission through the gas pedal (also happens in all other gears) 3) loud clinking noise when starting off in 1st gear 4) slightly rough startup, sort of like i have a dying battery, but idles perfectly. i checked the battery and it seems fine (no codes). i hear a rough idle/startup is a common symptom of worn mounts Also - if any of you have any good suggestions for a BMW mechanic in jersey city, would appreciate it. my last guy in jersey city missed a few things, which has me wanting to explore other options. Thank you Last edited by porsche959; 09-22-2018 at 10:12 PM.. |

They're the same for all the 6cyl gasoline models. I'm using a motor mount kit initially intended for a 335i and it bolts right up to my 328. It looked and installed exactly like the stock ones I removed.
