Question Swapping plates to new car?

I have personalized plates on my current car and when my 330i arrives, I want it to get the personalized plates and my Celica can return to normal ones until I sell it.

Can my dealer do this for me, even though I'm not trading in, or do I have to go sit in line at the DMV for 4 hours? Will they charge me extra to do so if they can?

Thanks
-Mike

Your dealer should do it for you. Some of these issues are state specific but rather than getting you new registration the dealer should transfer yours.
