Wanted to get new wheel but...

Hi guys

I have non-ZSP with standard suspension 17" OEM wheel. I'm thinking of getting 19" CSL or M6 wheel. For now, I have no intention to lower the car.
Will putting a larger wheel close the gap between the tire and the car?

Thanks for any input.

i have a e90 non-sport too. i dont have links, but i've seen some pics of 19's without lowering the car and yes, it does close the gap some, but it also makes the car look lifted. i'm going to put bmw sport suspension on first before putting larger rims.

If you use the correct sizes, a larger wheel and tire will have the same or close to the same overall diameter of the stock wheels and tires. So if done right, the gap will not be closed going with bigger wheels and tires.

However, installing bigger wheels and tires actually has the opposite visual effect: they make your gap look larger, bigger. So even if you do it right, and you do not lower your car, your car will look slightly lifted with your new wheels.
