V3 installed, but have throttle boggle issues...

Upon my installation of my V3 PNP I took the car for a quick spin to make sure the install was successful.

When I drive half throttle car seems to be fine, but as soon as I mash the peddle I get major boggle and car doesn't go anywhere.

Possible issues:

1. I didn't install the pins correct.
2. I need to let the V3 adapt for at least 50 miles, before I floor the car.
3. I uploaded Stage 2 non-doomsday map.

My hypothesis:

1. If I didn't install correctly I would prob. get engine codes left and right so I'm pretty sure installation of pins should be ok.
2. I'm thinking this should solve the problem, hopefully!
3. I have exhaust and intake so I should be using Stage 2 map, so I don't think this is the issue.

Just wondering if anyone had similar issues like myself?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Check the pins on the relay. Make sure none of the connectors are loose. If one of them came lose during the install, you can get what you are describing. Even without getting a CEL.

Also, confirm that everything works fine with the bypass plugs installed.

Thanks Shiv for the reply, car drives fine and boost comes on fine if I'm half-throttling it to redline, but as soon as I floor it then the problem occurs.

Do you still think the pins are not securely connected still?

I still need the V3 to adapt right for at least 50 miles?

um, I could be wrong here, but unless you have catless downpipes I dont think you should be using stage 2.

Stage 0 Vehicle with one or both pairs of catalytic converts and stock intake box with stock or drop-in panel filter.
Stage 1 Vehicle with one or both pairs of catalytic converts but with open element air filter(s).
Stage 2 Vehicle with no catalytic converters and open element air filter(s).

From what I read seems like Stage 2 is no cats (catback exhaust) and intake installed...doesn't say anything about having to have downpipes.

your downpipes have cats in them. Stage 2 is for completely catless cars. This means aftermarket catless downpipes and aftermarket exhaust

It is unlikely that anything is installed incorrectly. If it was, you'd know it. In this case, all that comes to mind is the integrity of the wires going to the relay. They are on pretty tight but can come off if manhandled a bit during installation. There should be a total of 6 wires going to that relay. Just make sure that they are all on and none are dangling off.

Adaptation is important as well but first check the above. If it checks out okay. Install the bypass plugs and drive your car and make sure it behaves just like stock. Then install the PROcede, activate Map 1 (12psi map) and drive the car. Make sure it drives properly.

That would be the first order of action.

SHIV,

Ok I will try take a look at all the wiring tomorrow after I get back from work.

How do you switch between Map 1 and 2. I never received the remote control switching key fobs in the mail. It should be set on Map 2 correct?

Also, do I need to go back and switch to Stage 1 map if I don't have catless dps?

thx

Don't sweat going back to Map 1, in that case. We should be shipping out all the backordered remote switches tomorrow or day-after. So without it, you will default to Map 2.

And if you aren't fully catless, you should run Stage 1. Stage 2 is for catless car. If you still have problems, just fill out the tech callback form (see my sig) and one of us can call you and help you troubleshoot. Kinda hard to do it over the forum.

What was the point of that comment?

90% of your 80 posts are in the cosmetic mods and pictures subforums - pretty wild stuff. You don't have any business posting replies in threads regarding products that (1) you don't own, and (2) know nothing about.

I like how my post provoked u to do research on my history of posts on this forum. Just cuz I don't post in the forced induction sections often doesn't mean I don't know anything about it. The point of my post was to indicate the the JB3 is on its way and Shiv better try to perfect his tune cuz we all know the JB3 is gonna be problem free just like ever other BMS product. Oh and I almost forgot if u don't like my post then don't read it dickhead and don't comment on it just cuz I don't 900+ posts doesn't mean I dunno what I'm talking about just means I don't have a lot of free time on my hands.

G37KILR, it was a very unnecessary comment. Please keep this thread on topic. Thx

Really...you're saying that every BMS product is problem-free? That's probably not a limb you really want to go out on.

This is a PROcede V3 thread. If you don't have own product or are considering buying the product, your post is irrelevant and off topic. If you've got some constructive comment to help the OP, by all means post it. Otherwise go someplace else.

Let's get this back OT.

What's the update Rotaz? Did you get a resolution for the bog/shudder?
Did you try driving with the bypass plugs installed?

I believe he found the problem. One of the wires going to the relay came loose. He just plugged it back in.
