need help on updating V3 software.

I just have the v3 from vishnu. I installed the wire correctly. I have keyspan as usb to serial connector. My connector would not respond with the v3. Previously. my connector respond to my v2 perfectly fine. Can anyone help me..Shiv help me buddy to update the software and the firmware. It tell me . com 4 does not work. so folks what was the procedure again to upload it. or do i need vishnu replace me with the whole harness.

Assuming you have wired up power and ground properly, I can almost assure you that the problem with the laptop computer, not the harness. We'll be happy to test it for you for confirmation. But that would involve you shipping it to us. My suggestion is to just try another laptop. Or re-install the drivers.

open device manager, ports, then you will see the keyspan usb to serial and the com port being used is next to it in parenthesis. i.e. Keyspan Serial to USB Adapter (COM3)

my friend and i tried both of our laptop. On vista as OS. we tried to uninstalled the driver and install it again on two different laptop. i even cut my own v2 harness to replace with the v3 serial. The previous serial connector work fine ... i dont understand why. Next step would be Changing the cable .. i dont know what to say shiv.. maybe i didnt performance the correctly step on the procedure. please give me step by step again.. please

That right there is your problem. Get a computer with XP and try again. Windows Vista FTL....

i would like to thank you adam for helping me updating the fireware and software. it was nice talking to you.. its working right now.. it just need to adapte a little bit longer..

I would like to thank for jumping the gun and respond back to my thread asap. Its work.. Thank to adam Tek818.. The serial connector for the v2 on the v3 working fine. I guess i need to fix my laptop.
