335i more responsive than a GTR?
I was talking to a guy the other day who was testing the GTR. He said his JB2 335i actually felt more responsive around town in everyday driving. He said you can definitely feel the weight when driving the car. Engine looks pretty clean, so I decided to take a picture of that too. The car is pretty striking. Rear seats even had more room than I thought the would have. Definitely gets attention at this point of its life cycle. I had no idea the GTR used RFTs also. Too bad we didn't test this on the GTECH/VBOX!
Also, today I saw a pink Vette, just had to share that one with you. I didn't even try and get it to race me. I assume it was a girl driving??

Ventura County on the GTR,
SFV on the Vette.

I could see the 335 being more responsive around town than the GTR since it has smaller turbos. Too bad we can have that responsiveness with the power of the GTR.
I really like the GTR in red. |

Hotrod,
That GTR is definitely hot!!! and that pink Vette almost made me puke! Btw - I don't belive the GTR wouldn't be as "responsive" as a tuned 335i; that thing is just an absolute monster and is supposed to have some decent TQ down low as well. Thanks for sharing!

Just because it is faster doesn't mean it isn't less responsive. Big turbos= big power + slower response all other things being equal.

That only applies to SRT4's.
I kind of had to laugh at how it has "carbon fiber composite" embossed on the rad support. It just looks like one of those things some douche will open the hood and point to and talk about how special that makes his car at great length. It looks more like some type of glass reinforced plastic but, I guess pretty much everything is made form carbon in one way or another. |

I looked one over in Kyoto a couple months back. Silver-grey. I like red better. The GTR is amazing, but it's not my cup of tea. Just too heavy. For USA driving, I want a car half its weight -- let's hope that the Z2 lives up to its billing.

That's funny. I was lucky enough to take a ride in that exact GT-R yesterday as a passenger. The GT-R is indeed sluggish from a stop in everyday situations - a bit jerky which surprised me. There is some turbo lag as well. Once the boost hits though after a little lag, it is completely ridiculous. It pulls HARD. Stupid HARD. The GT-R can fly. Launch control is a blast. It does get a lot of attention on the streets too. Godzilla FTW!
Getting back in my 335i to drive home was like being in a GEO Metro. Felt so slow. |

There's a video of that at the 'ring on here. ZR1 rapes it down the straights, GTR fights back through the turns. They look to be fairly close. GTR V-spec will own the ZR1 in handling and most likely keep up down the straights.

It is definitely a lot of car and technology for the money. That is if you could actually get one at MSRP. The car is decent looking. The dashboard is kind of a hodge podge of shapes though.

i think that pink 'vette is that nappy old broad Angelyne's. There used to be billboards of her all over LA in a failed attempt to make her famous.
