Question How does the SSTT work?

What input(s) does it used to "fool" the ecu, just the intake temperature? From there it lets the ecu do the rest of the boost and AF control?

Thanks!

lol I copied this from my numerous other posts!

SSTT = split second turbo tuner

It is a small Plug-n-play ECU tuner aka piggy back that increases your horsepower via boosting the PSI

Your engine as you know it, is a twin turbo'd engine. The turbos have impellers within them which create induce suction hence the term Forced Induction...(F/I)

Basically your turbos are running at 8PSI which currently give you ~280 WHP (15% drivetrain loss on dyno)

with the SSTT running on 93 Octane fuel, you may see upwards of 35-40+WHP and 45-50+tq putting you at ~315-320WHP

This is the easiest method because it is plug and play and nothing else is necessary but also this may void your powertrain warranty if a dealership finds out. but like mentioned above, it has been known to be sold in parts dept of some dealerships.

as far as the "fooling" part is concerned, I know it's not something that maps the fuel or adjusts timings so I'm not sure about that one. It's different from the procede because they have distinct maps timed for certain fuel octanes

well it connects to the TMAP sensor which has a couple sensors within it. but split second will not tell us exactly how it works of course for people trying to steal what they know.

the SSTT does have a comptuer chip inside of it, but how it works is not known.

here is some info to help you.

Thanks Dark and Soko, I saw that link when I was searching. I am unclear on how the SSTT can avoid not having to bypass the solenoids when it can boost as high as 13 psi from what I've read.
