Anothe happy Dinan customer

I've been hesitant to get the Dinan software because i felt a lot of negative feedback were given on this forum. I have a 07 e90 6mt. I decided to take the jump anyway and got stage II, and OMG i'm so glad i did. The car feels much smoother and faster. I will not dyno the car, because i could care less if i got 380 hp or 360 hp on any given day. The car feels much better and that's all that matters. I couldn't find too many guys with manual that had it done, so for you guys with 6mt, that software works great, go get it done

So your stage 2 was roughly $8,000?

How long did the dealer take on it?

I think he was referring to 380 at the crank not the wheels....so you are both correct.

Where would you get your car serviced if anything should go wrong?

Fastrack - did you lease or buy your car?

I've got a lease, want to go into the dealership and see if they'll let me flash a leased car without giving me issues at the end. I think I need something in writing.

Plus, if BMW does drop Dinan on Sept 8th I think I want to get Dinan before that...I have a feeling BMW will come out with performance software of their own which is only like 350hp.

I have the same model and year as you do (e90, 07, 6MT), has the engine temperature change since the Dinan mod?

i see myself going the Dinan route as well. I had a '99 328i that was strictly Dinan in Mods. Suspension, intake, chip, exhaust. All the parts were great, service was stellar. When one of my shocks leaked they payed for parts, shipping and labor. Not many will pay for labor.
So many haters on the net, but Dinan is a solid choice when it comes to BMW's.

BMW is not dropping Dinan. Dinan and BMW have both agreed to end the CPO program because of the lack of participation. Last year Dinan did like 30 cars out of the thousands modiifed...It just did not make sense to continue is what they said.

Call Dinan yourself to double check but this is the info they gave me.

Dinan stage II is on the web for $1999 on the Dinan site. Why would anyone expect to pay more? I got it for $1800.
