Cobb AP3/v3 Questions; max tq & 0-60
Just got my cobb DP's installed and was out driving around today enjoying the top down on another beautiful Hawaii day but now i have some questions about the Cobb v3 numbers.
The max tq reading obviously displays a much higher value than real world but before the DP's the highest i could achieve was like 705-710, after the Cobb DP's only i can now hit 750-760 on all out pulls. I always guessed real world was a little more than maybe half this reading but even if so that is about a 30 tq gain from just the DP's. What kind of numbers or information can any of you share for yours??? Also I've only used the 0-60 performance run counter like 5 or 6 times total but i tried it today and pulled off a 5.6 0-60. My biggest complaint was that my '11 335is DCT was a bear off the line, so my question is when does the stopwatch actually start, as soon as u push the gas, or as soon as the engine kicks in or what? Also how accurate do you think it is? Before these DP's and more importantly before flashing my TCU with the latest 135is TCU update and changing my oil my 0-60 runs were always in the 6's so even though a 5.6 is not that fast to me it sure feels noticibly faster off the line now. Was just curious what Cobb 0-60 numbers you guys were seeing and with what mods??? Thanks,

I guess either not that many people using the Cobb AP* tuner thing, or those that are do not constantly monitor their gauges... oh well maybe there is a better forum somewhere to reach the e9* cobb tuner users, not sure.

Yeah the Cobb numbers basically mean nothing. Use virtual dyno to get a better idea of actual WTQ/WHP numbers.

if you need an accurate measurement of 0-60 1/8 and 1/4 mile and such look into DRAGY ... pretty cheap and super accurate
i ran a 11.99 on the drag strip and dragy showed 11.98 |

I haven't used a Cobb since MHD came out but I don't recall the 0-60 timer being accurate. The Cobb itself has no GPS capability which is necessary for a accurate number. If it's using the speedometer input those are corrected in our cars to display a number which is 3-4% higher than actual speed. It's fun to play with but nothing really to take much stock in. Like the other guy said, Dragy is the new thing out and pretty damn accurate, or a Vbox, which I bought a few years ago, both can give you all the useful data you want.
As far as the torque figures go, that's torque actual value nm, a logging parameter. Has zero to do with what the car actually produces. It's internally calculated for use by other modules, mainly the transmission and shifting. For example, my logs have it in the mid 900's nm range.
