not a great deal...

Base price: 389

Down: 4000
Fees: 1800
Tax: 1800 (if you live in IL, tax will be higher...since you have to pay tax on full vehicle purchase price even on a lease)
Total upfront: 7600 / 24 = 316.67
Add 2k more miles/year for a reasonable lease = 15 more/mo

389+316.67+15= 720.6667 approx for a 24 month lease, which isnt terrible for a 335xi new, but consider, this isnt new, its a demo

demo's are fun you can hit all the potholes/speed bumps/burnout and roast the tires. who cares its on the leasee/owner to deal with any fallout!

wrong... sedan and coupe has different pricing, so you can't just say it's 11 bux more. sport pkg includes sport seats, oil cooler and 18" wheels/tires (though some dealers seem to offer as choice).

and also as vudoo4u2 pointed, with downpayment and fees and taxes, it really adds up the cost and after considering all, i don't think it's great deal at all...

Sport package on the 335 xi is only the seats (maybe steering wheel too). 18s are an additional option, and you need the 18s to get the oil cooler...sport package seems to be different depending on sedan, coupe or xi designation.

actually this is the best deal I have seen in the country,I don't know what your dealers are asking for lease cars but around here for a fully loaded xi there is no way you can get the payment under 400 without putting 10k down.

If you look at the add it says total DEMO 2008 335xi with $4,000 down plus fees, which come to $5,018.00 at signing plus tax ma has 5% but I will register this car in NH and they dont have sales tax.

The cars had under 5000 miles on them and were under full warenty, the whole point of a leased car is to give it back so who cares if it was a leased demo.

I asked them about the sport pack and the car could be built with it for only 500 more.

So lets redo the math

5,018 (first payment and fees)
NO tax since it will get registered in NH...
I dont know why you need more miles 10k/year is plenty for me and there only 10c for every mile over.so zero for miles.

total upfront is 5,018/24=209 and would end up costing me about 16k out of pocket for a 2 year lease, wich is not bad at all.

why dont u build an xi on bmw.com and see that the sport pack is only 500 bucks,it includes sport seats, thats all it says and then you can get 18s for another 600

Well, as far as no sales tax, props to you for living in NH haha, paying no sales tax on a vehicle purchase is great...

saving that 2k is huge in a 24 month lease...83 dollar savings

However, the 5018 number is slightly misleading, as there are typically non-dealer fees that you will pay for the leasing of the vehicle (ie...paperwork fees from BMW financial and lease inception fees etc that they dont include in that number)...so figure, slightly higher fees

so lets say, 5600/24=233

For me personally 10k is nothing, so I always add more miles, never know when a road trip comes and going over isnt worth it considering the low cost of adding some miles up front...

so 233+389 gets you to 622, which is great...but all things equal, its not that great, because if you're not paying tax on any car you buy, then my numbers originally calculated shift down anyways...Assuming no tax on a vehicle lease, 622 isnt an amazing number for a used vehicle lease.

622 vs. 750 for a new car with sales tax looks AMAZING, but 750 is a car with tax...this is a lease w/o tax...so its not comparing like price factors

Dont beat yourself up over missing it tho, it wasnt that ridiculous

so what about 5K hard miles on the tires? you get new tires with a demo lease? you still have to return the tires with decent tread on them.

imo no-sport = no dice might as well not get a bmw. plenty of other cars that drive like a non-sport bmw. not many other cars that drive like a sport-bmw. (sport seats are why i chose bmw again over audi)

It's not a manager either...the sales guys take 'em. This may not be the case at all dealerships, but the point is they don't necessarily drive them gingerly.
