new e90: mylar application front of hood?
Was just told about a friend who's dealer sold him (said was option) and installed a mylar type film applied to the front of the hood, running a few inches up past the grill, to ward off chips in the beginning of the hood. Trading in my '03 330 for new; my current one has gotten a lot of tiny chips this area and wondering if this a reasonable solution or might look worse than the chips! Anybody know of this and/or have any experience?

I spoke with Vincent over at Omega Tintwerks in Pleasanton CA (I know it's a bit far from NY but it might help to know pricing range) and he's quoted me $495 cash and he'll throw in the headlights and fogs for free.
