What to use on black plastic trim?

Mainly the splash guards and lower front chin on my Acura RDX. They're not really black anymore mainly due to abrasion from tiny pebbles.

I've been using Mother's back to black, but it's only good for a short period of time, returning to it's greyish black state.

Has anybody used anything really good? I know it sounds retarded wanting the splash guards to look nice, but it really pisses me off. I was thinking about just replacing them, but don't want to if I don't have to!

Thanks!

If they're faded I would recommend Leatherique's Black Rubber Dye sold by detailed image. It isn't a dressing but a dye that will bring back the color and it will be there to stay. Clean them very well with an apc and then rubbing alcohol to prep it for the dye. Then apply one coat and let it cure for about an hour or more before applying another coat. Once you're satisfied with the look let it cure for about a day and then dress it with you're favorite dressing to prevent it from fading again.

One option is Black Wow. I just used it for the first time, so I can't speak to its durability. But here are the results - half and half - on a '97 Explorer. Everything I read said to take all possible precautions to keep it off the paint - thus the tape.

I just ordered some Poorboy's Trim Restorer on advice from DI. I plan to follow up the Black Wow w/the Trim Restorer as necessary.

Good luck with your splash guards!!

PB's trim restorer is a nice-looking dressing but doesn't last long at all. It doesn't appear to be very restorative.
