So 10 mins ago I am on my way home. I see this new aston martin vantage s coupe turn the direction im turning. Im right behind him when we both come to a red. I pull up next to him on the right.
AM: Are we going to race?
335: idk sure why not. NO TRACTION CONTROL ON AT THIS POINT
AM:What kinda car you got?
335: 335i.
AM: I think im going to Fu*k you up.
335: ok.
AM: I dont care if i scratch this up, I got another at home.
335: haha ok
Yellow for the opposite light and he starts inching up.
335: WTF whatever.

I pull a nose in front of him, he shifts and I pulled a full car length. After total domination he was so shocked. He looked at me embarrassed and drove off making a right turn.

I have a JB1, and M6 reps, and complete muffler delete as far as power/weight reduction

wow i felt/feel good.
I had to share. I understand street racing is dangerous. I have seen the So. Africa BMW crash. Thanks you anyones concern. Next time i will take it to the track.

Reminds me smoked a G37s by the distance of a light with my stock E92 on local for 130mph on the past weekend. He could've won if he picked prince's M3 since his car still breaking in. LOL

An E92 is a GT car as well... so what? On paper it's a drivers race, with the Aston winning at higher speeds. If the V8 driver has prodrive, he'll likely beat most 335s at the low end too, modded or not.

To be fair, lets imagine that things were swapped and you were driving the 6figure Aston, and some guy in a 3 series rolls up next to you. I'm sure you would probably say something like that as well. I didn't get much a sense that he was cocky, more just that he was defending his pride in his purchase. I'm sure he didn't get all that money with a certain degree of confidence.

If someone was to offer me a AM Vantage or a 335i, I'm pretty sure this choice is obvious.

Good times nonetheless though.

Gotta disagree. A e92 is not a GT car, a 6 series is. But the e92 does have many things in common with what makes up a good GT car.

for clarification there is no such thing as an Aston Martin Vantage S. The only current AM cars that have the "S" moniker is the Vanquish S (ended production a few years ago) and the DBS.

The only variations of the Vantage is the roadster, N400, Prodrive, and the V12 Vantage RS (as mentioned earlier, but no in production yet). On top of that, for this year there is a facelift model with a new 4.7L engine replacing the old 4.3.

So what did the OP actually race? no idea.
