Delayed engagement in D or R, is it a speed sensor??
I just bought (another) 2008 335i with auto transmission. This one does not always takeoff when you put it in gear. The guy who sold it to me would bump from neutral to Drive just when he was ready to go. Then bump the shifter back into neutral as he was approaching a red light because he said it would stall the engine sometimes. Once you get going it seems to shift OK but I have not driven it too much for fear of making it worse. He said the car needs a "speed sensor" and sent me link to what his mechanic said he needed. The part is identified as being for a 328i so it may not be the right part. Has anyone experienced this type of problem before?

I actually had a few different codes and went forward with my plan on pulling the whole drivetrain and replacing it with one I had from another car. I will probably part out my other 2007 E93 now. I may open that transmission up and see if I can see figure out what was up with it. I will be selling my spare good running N54 motor. Any idea what it is worth?
