Joyriide Detailed: E90, E92, E83

Have not much of a chance to post. Been busy with all sorts of things and to top it all off I have a torn meniscus. None the less, I still have been working out (I shouldn't), grapple everyday, and have been detailing non stop. Sorry guys for those of you who I've worked on your car and did not take pictures, I know I promise photo documentation but sometimes my mom borrows my camera and I forget to get it back.

Joyriide Detailed- E90 328i

First up is one of my favorite car owners. Has his car detailed every 4-5 months and gets touch ups every 1-2 months, which is great because I get to monitor durabilty of my products. BTW, Zaino is one long lasting sealant.
No befores. Other than some light marring from washing and drying, this car was pretty nice as far as imperfections.

Interior

Meguiars APC (plastic, vinyl, and leatherette)
Meguiars #40
Meguiars Glass Cleaner

Exterior

P21S wheels cleaner
Meguiars Super Degreaser (engine, tires, wheel wells, jams, all weather mats)
Meguiars Hyperdressing 4:1 (wheel wells)
CD-2 Engine Detailer
Armorall Tire Gel
HTEC on exhaust

Meguiars Goldclass + Meguiars APC+
Claymagic Blue
Menzerna SIP via white pad @ 1000-2000 rpms
Meguiars #80 Speed Glaze via PC on grey pad @ speed 5
Meguiars #16 Pro Paste Wax

Next up is

Joyriide Detailed E92 328i

Brought to me from the owner of the previously detailed Montego Blue 335i Sedan, this car is driven by his sister. Caked wheels and moderate swirling, unfortunately, orders were to only polish the exterior with one step. Interior was wiped down and engine was not touched.

Exterior

Meguiars Wheel Brightner (I do not like resorting to this cleaner, ask me why.)
Meguiars Super Degreaser
Meguiars Hyperdressing 4:1
Armor All Tire Gel
Meguiars Hyper Wash + APC+
Claymagic Blue
Menzerna 106ff via grey pad @ 1200-2000 rpms
Klasse AIO
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant

Before

During

Afters

Next up is the mother's X3. This car is a year old but not driven much. only 4k on the clock. Other than caked wheels and heavy rust blooms on the rear hatch, it was not bad. Orders were to protect the paint. Interior was wiped down and engine was not touched.

Exterior

Meguiars Wheel Brightner (ugh, I really hate using it, ASK ME WHY! LOL )
Meguiars Super Degreaser
Meguiars Hyper Dressing 4:1
Detailers Pride Tire Gloss
Meguiars Hyper Wash + APC+
Claymagic Blue
Poorboys EX+P
Poorboys Trim Restorer
HTEC (exhaust)
Poorboys Wheel Sealant

Before

After

(unfortunately, thats all I could do for these pitted exhaust tips).

Nice work.

Why don't you like Meguiar's wheel brightener?

HAHA. I love to say I hate it, but in reality its just one of those products that i respect soo much, I avoid it. I've seen this product tossed around a few times from other detailers, especially on other forums, and I can't help but to be soo surprised, considering this is a heavy duty ACID. I avoid using it and whenever I do I make clear my feelings on it. A few months ago I had a light cut. I used Meguiars Wheel Brightner without gloves, and somehow a small amount of the product came in contact with my skin. I had some light irritation at first but it went away. A few days later I had a huge bruise in the area where it was irritated and the area was really tender. I ahd always read to take precautions with these products but chose not to. Long term exposure to heavy duty products like these can be really bad for you.

Meguiars Huh? Be careful with that speed glaze on a da. It can itroduce marring that will come back after a few washes on speed 5. I was working on this problem with some of the trainers at meguiars corporate offices. Depends on the paint but sometimes it does it. We think we fixed it though.

About this. Any type of acid should be avoided at all costs. But if, just if it is absolutely necessary you must must must wear gloves. Meguiars research and development department figured out this. Its been proven that on certain occasions people were using liquid wheel cleaner or "acid" to remove water spots from vehicles. What are water spots mostly made up of? Calcium. Why does the spot disappear when shot with acid? Cause the acid eats and attacks the Calcium. What happened to your armed? It bruised meaning even thought it was light contact it penetrated the skin. What lies beneath your skin? Bones. What do bones contain? Calcium. Bottom line from meguiars corporate trainers never ever use acid and allow it to come into contact with your skin it will attack your bones, make them weak, give you pain and arthritis as you get older. Trust me they didnt tell me this in such a nice way. Protect yourself man its not worth it!

A lot of folks like to use an EZ Detail brush, but I kinda use it sparingly as it require a lot of agitation (soft bristles) and spits back a lot of dirt. I like to use this

I only use it for insides of wheels and it does not spit back. I boguht it at walmart in their dish cleaning section...

Sweet Idea!
although I just picked up the EZ Detail brush lol

I've been using just a piece of sea-sponge and my hand gets in there pretty easily. . . . although my spokes are pretty wide open.
