When does the next boat leave??

My 330i has been at the port of exit since Monday (3/20). The OC and 800 number do not have any info on when it will get on a boat. My sales person is out on vacation.
Is there any other way for me to track it?

You can guesstimate when your car will depart POE from the port of Bremerhaven site at http://www.dbh.de/index.php?id=151 ...(just punch in your port, type of ship (vehicle carrier) and dates and it'll give you a list of vessels leaving within that time period. You can click the names of the vessels to give you even more details such as voyage number, country of origin/registration, year of construction, contact person and phone number, call signs etc. ...

I started a ship tracking thread some weeks ago and it 'snowballed' into quite the enthusiastic and involving one thanks to the awesome 'shipmates'. Perhaps you can pick up on it... ship tracking/waiting can be fun...it helps ease the pain

Either way good luck...

Did you get the Vin from OC? Read the sticky thread on the ultimate tracking guide. With the VIN you can check the shipper web site etc and find out what ship and then do what most of us do, track the ship daily.
Ther ultimate guide is great.

carjon: he's not there yet...his car is not loaded on yet, OP just wants to guesstimate/anticipate which ships his car might make it on...

Hmmmm MA, I believe your final port of call is NY/NJ?? Maybe your CA can confirm. Otherwise its just a matter of putting those names in...Bremerhaven to NY

Well, I was thinking that just because OC and 800 number say car isn't loaded yet doesn't mean it isn't. 800 number for me today said waiting for the ship - but it was unloaded in NY yesterday. Always worth a shot I figure.

Mine has been sitting at the port since 3/17. I tried that site to see what ships are scheduled to leave in the next week or two, and nothing is listed. The waiting is starting to drive me crazy!

Anyone else on the same boat?

You will get it before me since you are in NJ.

My dealer told me the port is in NJ but doesn't it go to NY? The Ship web site says nothing about NJ only NY on 4/9.

good question. I think the port is right on the border between NJ and NY.

Can you pull your VIN number up on the shippers web site and get the name of the Mignon? Or did your info on the vessel come from the dealer?

I was at the port about the same time but my VIN into the shippers web site comes up with nothing.

Wait is driving me crazy!

Where is my car headed?

I live in Chicago. Is my car getting off in NY or in SC? I've been at port for at least 3 days now. How accurate is the VIN search on the shippers website?

I ordered my Black Sapphire 330xi on March 13 and according to the 800 number, it's been at port awaiting a ship for at least 3 days.

The info on the shippers web site must be accurate as the VIN number is used to export/import the car (same as a container number).

The only thing I don't know is how long after the car is loaded on the vessel does it take be for I can pull up my VIN number on the shippers web site?

My car has been at the port for over a week now according to the OC and 800 number.

Checked with dealer yesterday and he confirmed that is was still at the port - but again BMW info could be out of date as it relies on the shippers data to come across to their system.

The BMW 800 number only has info up to the point where the car is sent to the port. After that, they have no more info. They don't know what ship it gets on or when. That's what they told me the last time I called. Your dealer is the best source of info once the car is at the port of exit.

Also, OC is about 3 days behind. My car shipped on Sunday but as of yesterday it was saying awaiting transport and last night it changed to En Route.

To track the VIN, go to www.2wglobal.com, "cargo tracking", "auto" and enter the VIN as the ID.

Does anyone know if my car is getting off in NY or SC? I live in Chicago. Thanks!

Thanks. I had to enter the whole VIN number, not just the last 7 digits. It also tells me the destination port, so once you are in the system you will know where it's going and what boat.

Thanks again and good luck on your order

My VIN showed up in the search two days after it was loaded onto the ship (Mignon).
