Denso Iridium TT Spark Plugs
Anyone ever mess around with these Denso Iridium TT plugs on their E90 N52?
They have some pretty tall claims for improved everything so I was a little curious as to whether anyone has actually tried one yet. http://www.denso-am.com/products/aut...gs/iridium-tt/ http://densoautoparts.com/blog-not-a...d-equal-part-2 https://www.densoproducts.com/produc...1-c5e852ba2541 They list the IKH20TT as a fit for my vehicle but it has a gap of 0.040 versus the OE gap of 0.044. Not sure if the gap is smaller because of the twin tip business or what. I'm sending an email to Denso to verify. |

Looks like NGK Iridium spark plugs, platinum point on the top ground electrode, iridium electrode on the other. NGK Iridium was OEM on my car, 06 N52. They last 100k miles easily.
Later year N52 BMW made some change in plugs I think, and reduced the replacement interval to 60K miles or something like that. |

By any chance did you try them? Or perhaps look at the NGK Ruthenium plugs?

I probably don't really need spark plugs for a couple months - was just curious. A Denso tech actually told me to widen it to 0.044 to match the OE spec, but I'll probably go with the NGK Ruthenium since they are already at 0.044.

Stock ignition on the N52 is really very good. Plugs last 100k easy. I did two 100k plug changes on mine and they looked great each time. |
