Junction Box and footwell module coding

I'm fixing a flooded 2012 330i and I've some reasons to think that maybe the Junction box and footwell module are out so I'm planning to replace them but I'm not sure if these modules needs to be coded to sync with the car. Does it need to be done?

Also, if it does, can this parts be coded using a PC or I definitively need to buy a scanner with programming functionalities?

Needs coding. You'll need a PC with cable or ICOM with BMW Standard Tools. Or BimmerGeeks ProTool app and a suitable obd adapter...

So any OBD to PC cable should work or Do I need a specific type of cable while working on my bmw? for example something like the KDCAN cable with INPA?

You need a good quality DCAN cable like what is sold on the bimmer geeks website...

Hey did you ever sort this out?

Does the Junction Box Module need to get coded too? Or just the FRM?

How to verify if one is faulty?

Im installing a Heads-Up Display Screen (Genuine BMW), which plugs directly into the canbus. Somewhere along the line, something happened where my cluster, OBD port, iDrive screen, door locks stopped working (radio still plays music though).

Could this be a module?

Sounds like you mix up the Can H and Can L wires.

did you copy VO from CAS on to replacement frm and default it?
after that did you default JBE?

Regarding Can H and Can L wires... Do you mean the red wire and blue w/ red stripe wire?

I made sure to match them perfectly.
