Transmission trouble
Hi and Aloha,
I was driving home and hit a nasty bump. I drove for several miles before i got the trans gear icon on my dash. So i pulled off the road so i can try to see if i was losing trans oil, no oil leak. Now after turning off the car, it doesn't want to start and is stuck in park. Even my key fob has a hard time coming out from the slot. It eventually comes out after playing with it for awhile. Car was towed home and now needing advice and help to get it back running. I'm going to Jack it up tomorrow and see if anything is cracked or broken, then proceed from there. 08 335i 6 speed Automatic trans. Thanks |

My car can't start and my key fob is stuck. Can i clear the codes and see if it lets me get my key out. My car thinks it's still in gear and not in Park.

Assuming that doesn't work, pop the trim ring and use the manual override.
You may get better info if you have this thread moved to the appropriate forum. |
